The Newest Lodge in the Old Pueblo

A new chapter in Masonic history has begun in Tucson AZ! With pride, purpose, and a deep sense of responsibility, we introduce our newly formed lodge - the consolidation of Oasis Lodge #52 and Marion McDaniel Lodge #56. Though our charter is new, the former lodges have decades of history rooted in the traditions of Freemasonry.  We hope this website will honor that rich past and remain current with upcoming events.

As we begin this journey, we welcome visitors, prospective members, and curious friends to explore what our lodge has to offer. Freemasonry is a path of personal development, moral reflection, and shared purpose. We invite you to follow our progress, join us at upcoming events, and be part of the story we are beginning to write. The foundation has been laid, work has begun, and the future of our lodge shines bright with promise.

With heavy hearts we are sad to announce our dearest brother, WB Jim Wild, has passed to the celestial lodge above. A 70-year DeMolay and DeMolay Dad, Past Master of Marion McDaniel Lodge 56, active Knight Commander of the Court of Honor (KCCH) in the Tucson Scottish Rite, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award from the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Arizona; and as he was most well known, PGTB (Past Grand Teddy Bear); and of course, the only man to have ever struck John Wayne and not been hit back. But to the Mason there is no night. The setting splendors of a virtuous and well-spent life gild his departing moments with gentle tints of hope, and he sinks to rest in peace, harmony, and brotherly love. Rest well, brother. Your work here is done. Till we meet again.

• Services for WB Jim will be this Saturday, the 29th, at the Scottish Rite in Tucson, 160 S. Scott Ave.

• Viewing is at 9:00 AM, services at 10:00 AM, and interment will be at approximately 12:00 PM at the East Lawn Cemetery.

• Marion McDaniel #52 will be performing Masonic Last Rites.

• DeMolay will have a service as well followed by eulogies and remembrances.

The family will be in attendance; two brothers, a sister, and several extended family members. The family is deeply appreciative of the efforts to make this special for them as we honor our departed brother.
